football weight lifting scheduale

Right now we're practicing 5 days a week and lifting 2 days a week, which are on tuesdays and fridays. Is this enough for maintenance? I usually do a full-body workout centered around heavy compound lifts essential for football movement.. I might start lifting some on sundays to make up for the rest, but practice always drains some of my energy.

I'm also doing polymetrics for some explosive power and speed.

I am sure your practices challenge your body a fair bit...

My advice is to just workout however much you can with the energy you have left after practice until you arent gonig full pads every day.(Im assuming that eventually you wont be going full pads every day once the season gets going.) When the season starts, i recommend that you lift sun, mon, tues, wed. that is if you have games on friday nights.
