Martial Arts

I have been going to Tae Kwon Doe for about 3 years, recently i took a little break but as time went on, i really didnt wanan go bac, now i haf a small fear or returning bac all this time, anyone haf ne solutions? wut mite be causing this? i used to love taking karate, after this long break, since i didnt wanna go bac, i still wanted to build my body, so i took up weight training and cardio workouts involving abs etc, ive been working out for 5 months which is the amount of time i havent gone to karate

i think you just need to find something that you can have a passion for. I took kung fu for a year, and at the beginning it was fun and interesting, but the longer i went with it the less i looked forward to going to class, and eventually i just stopped going cause i'm just not into that. Just try other things out, and find something you really love doing.

and please spell correctly, i had to re-read like half of your post, k thx

Go back - you will just be a little sore with sloppy technique for a while. I took a few years off from my training when I was getting so fat. It didn't take long to get right back to where I was.

if you have any desire to go back, go back. if its going back and not liking it you're worried about, why not try another form/art?

I had the same problem a few years ago. I always was in something like Karate, and other stuff. I ended up doing Kung-Fu for about 3 years and I took a long break. When I went back from the break I felt the same way (the more I went the less I wanted to be in it). I knew what I didnt like about it. I couldnt stand doing the Kata's, and all the things that was more of a dance and less of a martial art. You need to find out what it is that you dont like about your class and then find something that will interest you.
I personally found MMA. I love it

Change arts. Get into something with a little more practical training that will help you in a real-life situation. MMA is the best as far as being versitale and effective on the street, but research everything to see what might interest you the most. I myself am starting Muai Thai kickboxing soon and I cant wait.
