Need tennis help

Hey, how do you hink I could get better REAAL FAST for Tennis? I am a sophmore next year, and I want ot make varsity. I played on my JV team here in Ann ARbor, MI, and we went undefeated, 16-0-1 I think. I am moving to Alexandira, don't know how they are in Tennis, but I want to get in Varsity-shape. What should I do? Just practice a lot? Are tehre personal trainers or something? Thanks..

It's hard to get better at tennis REAL FAST, you need to practice, practice, practice. And that usually requires a partner willing to practice as much as you. If you can't find someone who wants to practice as much as you then you can work on your serves alone. Get an incredible serve and you'll increase your chances of Varsity huge.

Also, check some local park districts for lessons.

Doug's right. You need lots of practice. It takes awhile to get really good at tennis. Have you ever played racquetball?

You could increase the power of your serve by doing tricep extension. Using light weight that you can move quite quick will help. I would recomend doing sets of 10-15 but be carefull not to injure yourself so make sure your well warmed up before and dont move the weights too quick that you lose controll over them. Also technique is extremly importand in serve power, the slightest misjudgment may cause the ball to go flying off in any random direction which hapopens to me 50% of the time
good luck

Since I don't know how good you are it is hard to assess what skills you need to improve on. Tennis lessons with a seasoned professional and lots of practice are the ways to improve.
