NFL Training

I was wathcing a thing on espn a couple of days ago and it showed the new college players that got drafted into the NFL, In the NFL gym they were showing how many times they can press a certain amount of weight, it was amazing.

They had this one running back from UF that was drafted bench press 315 53 times.... crazy...

I think what you're talking about is the NFL combine. This is held before the NFL draft so all the scouts, talent evaluators, etc can check out how players perform under different tests like the bench press, 40 yard, dash, vertical leap, etc. The prescribed amount of weight for every athlete to bench at the combine is 225 lbs. on the bench press. Brady Quinn who was featured on last month's Mens Health shocked lots of people by busting out 24 reps on the bench press which was higher than a lot of linebackers.

The record for the combine is 225 x 45.

Ohio State defensive end lifted 225 pounds 45 times at the combine 06.

Texas-El Paso's Leif Larsen had 45 reps in 2000.
