Overtraining

Recently, I started a new workout routine that involves 3 days of weightlifting, and 3 days of cardio/aerobic - 2 of which are low intensity and 1 of which is HIIT. Do you think I'm over doing it? As long as I get enough sleep I shouldn't be overtraining right? What are some common symptoms of overtraining? What might be some overlooked more subtle symptoms? Thanks...

3 days of weightlifting is not overtraining in itself. However if you do 20 sets of bench each of those days, that would be overtraining. However, I'm guessing you are fairly new so I dont think thats what you are doing. Do a search for symptoms of overtraining.

well, i have been weightlifting for about 2 and a half years now... my previous routine was lifting at least 4 times a week which my body was used to. however, i've incorporated the running, so that was my question since i only rest 1 day out of a week.

i guess it all depends on your body. if you are bulking, make sure you get enougth energy into you. i train 3 times a week, run 2 or 3 times, and im a mover..and i have still managed to bulk..so i hope you have no problems... good luck.
