Stretching and Running

Many athletes today neglect to stretch and run.
All the time the athletes lift weights and try to get bulkier, but
it comes at the expense of our health and endurance.
The larger our muscles become, the more important it is to stretch.
Stretching is a great tool that enables us to reach a higher performance
because our muscles are loose. Also we can reduce the risk of injury drastically. Running is a crucial element of the work out. many hamstrings and quads are pulled because of the lack of endurance and strength and flexibiltiy in our legs. aside from being a fantastic tool for endurance strength and flexibility, running is great for cardiovascular workout. I'm not saying go overboard, we just need to do little more.

For most sports I would agree that running is an integral part to getting better. However, I don't agree with the reason for pulled hamstrings. It's true that strength imbalance (overworking the quads/hip flexors) tend to make pulled hamstrings more common but running won't correct that, that can only be corrected in the weight room. And I would argue that a lot of pulled hamstrings are due to two factors: not warming up properly and stretching too hard without a proper warmup.
