Swimming is good exercise Swimming is a lifetime sport that benefits the body and the whole person! But what is it that makes swimming good, specifically? That depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

I love swimming, but have issues doing frontcrawl (or freestyle) and I just cannot do it.

Any tips on getting better at it?

Slow down and get the technique correct first, then just swim and swim as practice makes perfect

Sounds good --- any video's as to what the "correct" technique is?

Sadly, I used to be on the swim team like 15 years ago... but the technique is shot! (except my breaststroke, I'm still quite stellar at that one).

I totally agree, swimming has a lot to do also in relieving inflamed joints. It is one of the best form of exercise for this because it stretches and strengthens the muscles and gives your hip joints a good workout without placing any weight on them.

Swimming is one of the best exercise. It can help further develop our selves especially our muscles.

I don't think if this is correct, swimming can also help an individual to grow taller but only for those on the growing period or the adolescent one.

Depend on how often you swim and the intensity, you can really pack on some muscle. I swim a lot but about 6months ago I took it more seriously, swimming about 4 times a week, and I packed on a fair bit of muscle, especially on my back and shoulders (for obvious reasons). And for your fitness level, it really is good stuff. You can't beat it.
