Wall Sits

i have done wall-sits for many sports during practice.

a wall sit is when you squat down and kinda sit in an imaginary chair, against the wall. i have done this for track and wrestling practice.

what R the benefits of wall-sitting?......... strenght? endurance? speed? muscle mass?

Depends, you can always add weight to make them even harder, which would also have some strength benefits along with the normal endurance.

They really aren't "good" for anything, but depending on how long you do them and how much weight you add, you can use them for "strength" or "endurance."

Squats are superior in every way, especially for an athlete. If a coach wants to torture you and build up some endurance, he should throw you in the squat rack for a few sets of 20.

I usually do 3 sets of these against an exercise ball, with 20 or 25 lb. dumbbells, to get me warmed up on my legs day.
