better be near a toilet - i wouldn't wanna bet on the effect of repeated electrical shocks near a sphincter.....

I second that, aren't ab belts like really old? I've seen them a while back.. what about that abtronic thing? Supposedly works on every muscle group..lol. I used to put it on my biceps. But it kidna hurt so I stopped.

They don't work. The only way for EMS to work enough to strengthen the muscle you'd have to use a voltage that would hurt more than most people would care for. And that still wouldn't burn the layer of fat the wearer is putting on while sitting on that couch eating krispy kreams.

should point out heree that EMS was developed as a way to preserve muscle mass in victims of paralysis and wasting diseases.

IF the muscle is diseased, damaged, or atrophied, it's an excellent tool.

but it's not more effective on healthy muscle tissue than antibiotics are on someone who's not sick.
