Ab Training for Ectomorph

I've adapted my new training for my abs now and they are starting to slowy thicken and reveal. Can anyone give me advice roughly on how many reps and sets should be applied for my body type please?:

I'd go heavy and work within a normal rep range of say 6-10 reps for abs. I'd do 2 exercises for them and no more than 5 working sets IN TOTAL. Treat them as any other muscle group, because they are. Slowly work on increasing resistance as they grow stronger.

Cheers Todd that's a great help. Maybe I've been getting carried away with the number of sets. Mike Mentzer was right, always keep it short and intense. Are thoughs quads yours in the avatar if so they're fantastic!

Yah for sure, keeping it short and intense is always good..and if not then at least keep it intense, as intensity is the key to getting results regardless.

I don't think one needs a ton of sets and reps to get abs to respond...cuz they are just like any other muscle. This stuff with people doing 20-50 reps and beyond is crazy ...a waste of time and effort. And you don't need mega sets to stimulate growth....your abs get a lot of indirect work from everything you do...both in and out of the gym.

Keep it simple and don't overcomplicate things. That's a good key to follow.

And yes, those are my quads.
