advice on change please

Hey guys,

Just a bit of advice about starting cardio

Ive been weight training for about 5 years

and made good muscular gains, when pumped up I have a good shape which people comment on
when Im not pumped up I look shapely but a little fat around lower chest, stomach and face

now I know this is largely due to the fact (dare I say) I havent done any cardio for about 3 years,
the reason for this is I was trying super hard to put on size
I have gone from about 60kg to 85 kg
but now its time to trim off some excess fat

I have bought a treadmill which i intend to use each morning

the question is,how long should i run for,how often, and should i cut down on heavy cars i used to build muscle

ideally i do not want to lose to much muscle size as I still gonna push weights for more muscle

sorry its a long read

Tony

then you, my friend, want either MaxOT cardio, Guerilla Cardio, or sled dragging.

max-ot takes 16 minutes, gc takes 12 minutes, they are both highly effective - both fat-burning and anabolic - but my favourite, bar none, is sled dragging. really, with a sled and weights, you could almost skip the gym, it's that effective.

leave 12 hours minimum between HIIT and weights - cardio on off-gym days is best.

Just as a personal note, I left about 6 hours between my Max-OT and guerilla cardio sessions for a 3 month period and had no adverse affects. In fact, things went pretty damn well!

Max-OT is ideal, especially for a situation such as this. Keeps muscle too!
