Another squat problem.

hello folks, first post on here so take it easy

I have only been properly squatting for the past six months but i'm having problems at times when going heavy with squats. My problem is that i feel like i'm going to be sick whilst doing the squat. I have tried changing my technique, squatting with/without belt, making sure that i have let my food digest before training, etc.
The strange thing is that this doesn't happen every time when i go heavy, some sessions are excellent and i don't feel any sickness but really feel it in my legs.

I have read in mags that some other people get sickness when squatting. Have any of you experienced this problem, and if so did you find a way round it???

cheers. :

that's a VERY common side effect when squatting heavy, as many powerlifters will tell you.

keep a bucket handy and let it fly.

It's common to lose your lunch, especially if you're doing higher reps.

I tend to get light headed and put into a daze. It's actually quite a nice feeling, but people must think I'm a freak because I just blindly stare while I rest.

A build-up of lactic acid will cause the puke-reaction. It's basically your body's natural way of telling your brain that it's working too hard.

It takes some time, but as long as you keep doing squats your body should eventually adapt. I felt pukey for the first few weeks of squatting, but by now I get by no problem. But since you've been having this problem the past 6 months, maybe you could post your squatting routine and have us take a look.

High reps, yep. Thats what does it to me. I never get close to booting, but I do feel a bit queezy after about 8 reps. Just another reason to go heavier

I felt that way after a set of 6 deadlifts one time. I almost lost it but that was it. Generally i don't get the nautious feeling. Maybe i'm not pushing hard enough...

I get quite lightheaded right as I re-rack the bar quite often, but not really queazy.
