Question

Biceps Gap

Does anyone else suffer from the same problem that I have of having a big gap in the biceps between the elbow and why is it there? I know that some have high peaks and short heads and others have long heads and short peaks.

No need to worry about it. Franco Columbo had the same problem (he is the one kneeling next to Arnold). If you are big enough there are no worries, hehehehe

I can offer you one suggestion. Do more curls either palm down, or hammer style. Those concentrate less on your peak and more on the entire bicep, therefore increasing its size on all fronts.

Cheers for the advice W8lFTR, as for cursor asking to post a pic, I feel a bit embaressed, not because of biceps but because of my long arms and think you folks might laugh. Plus my triceps need more work on them.

bah, humbug - pics is pics. were we all todd and maverick, there would be no point for this site to exist [carefully avoiding mentioning that she's not posted pics of her own, lol].

depending how old you are and how long you've been working out, there's a chance that you could have been doing bicep curls with too heavy a weight and too short a range of motion for too long a time. this can cause scar tissue to build up among the muscle fibres, which will make the muscle tighten up like a ball. if you can straighten your arm out fully, then this ain't the problem: you probably do just have short-bellied muscles with long attachments.

hammer grip will help not because it works any one part of the muscle over another (which is impossible) but because it builds up auxiliary muscles that run from upper arm to lower arm, such as the brachioradialis.

I meant the pros in the magazines at the time. This forum is a different matter, we are brothers and sisters and I don't think of family in that way.

Post 'em up. You'd be a lot braver than me. I wouldn't post my before pictures until I already had the afters.

I think I have the same bicep gap you are talking about. I like it, it makes the peak more pronounced.
