BodyCraft F430 Power Rack

Well, it's finally happened. I've decided to get rid of my Bowflex Ultimate XTLU and use all free weights. I'm trying to come up with what all, exactly I'm going to need. I think that a good power rack is a central component to a home gym. I've looked at several different models... Including the Powertec Power Rack, Tuff Stuff TPR-265, Deltech DF4500...

It's a little bit more expensive ($499), but the BodyCraft F430 Power Rack seems to be the best option... It has the push-pin system for moving the spotter bars, it looks like it has 30 different spotter bar positions... so you can get it as close to exactly the right spot as possible... 1000lb weight capacity... I'm going to get the dip bar attachment, it's got the chin up bar... and they make a stack-weight lat attachment for it that I'll get at some point.

Is there anything comparable to this that is cheaper, or does this look a good piece of equipment?

I want to eventually get a nice set of Ivanko barbells, but I found a 300lb Cap Barbell set at a local store for only $119. I see no point in spending a lot on a nicer set when I can get something that will work just fine for now so inexpensively.

And I'm trying to decide if I should get a bunch of hex dumbbells and a stand... or if I should go with Powerblocks or the Nautilus Selecttech adjustable dumbbells.

Sounds like an average power rack to me w/ the exception of the dip attachment, which is also the reason it is a good $100-$200 more than the average power rack.

If its not coming with any weights its not worth what they're charging for it imho, I'd shop around and find something cheaper, you don't want to be paying $200 for a dip station when you could buy a stand-alone one for like $60 or less.

Here is one that suits all the needs of a power rack, and it only costs $279.99.

anyway thats without really looking very hard. Again, shop around a bit first, I'm sure you can easily bring that $499 down to something cheaper and save yourself some cash for a piece of equipment that is just as good.
