Getaway, based on your stats you need to
1. Do what F-Mac said about learning to track your intake. It's something I did daily until it became automatic.
Now I just run a total in my head and know what I've had at the end of the day. It's easier for me because I eat the same thing every day - except on cheat meal day.
2. Shoot for 2240 calories each day. Since it seems you want to gain muscle shoot for between 40% and 50% carbs each day to move your nutrients into your muscle, 20-25% fat each day to keep you healthy and promote good hormone function, the rest 30-35% needs to be protein. Adjust the macros as needed to suit your body, schedule, and what's available to you.
3. Since you are in school have 4-6 meals/day. Breakfast (home or school), Lunch at school, Dinner after school. Have a shake before and after working out...my current favorite is 2cups skim milk, 1 banana, 2scoops whey. Have another balanced whole food meal if you can before bed. Again, adjust this feeding schedule based on your needs and schedule.
If you find this is making you fat instead of muscular - cut calories back slightly. If you find you aren't growing and getting stronger increase them a little.
4. At your age - you are primed for
muscle growth. If the miracle hasn't began yet - it will. If it has, take full advantage of it and eat/lift to grow while it lasts. Folks your age are in the most
anabolic state and primed for growth they'll ever be in...and it's all natural. The only ones who can gain faster are babies and who'd want to go through that again. Of course I wouldn't want to be your age again either...just would like to feel that age again for a few years.
Good luck.
