Bulk up

I've been watching what I eat for the past couple of months to build a lean body, but I don't think I've been getting many calories in. So heres the question, would gains on muscle mass come faster if I just ate as much as I could everyday? Along with weight lifting and some cardio during the week? I want to gain faster and more, but lately I haven't see MUCH of a change, so I'm wondering if this would be better for getting BIGGER in muscle mass? Or is there a better way to cut and gain at the same time? Thanks

It's not usually as simple as simply eating more (it is if you want to get fatter ). You need to eat more quality foods. If you post up your current diet and stats (age, bodyweight, height, etc) we can probably help you more.

Being able to get cut while gaining strength is a topic of some debate. Some people can do it, others cannot.........it's a matter of experimentation.

i have personally cut fat and added strength before its possible. I'm pretty sure what i did to accomplish this was i had a big calorie spike when i worked out and i played soccer before i worked out.. 305pm then 730pm i went to the gym.

For my body i have noticed if you want strength alone its obviously better not to worry about cutting or vice versa but at the same time cutting and gaining strength i didn't make exceptional strength gains but i was loozing bodyfat while still getting stronger if that makes sense. My strength gains slowed down but my bodyfat went down.

no sugar until i worked out lots of grains an 1100 calorie shake with sugar when i worked out no sugar after that and protein all through the day 40 grams every 3 hours about until i worked out. My intake was probably 3500 calories a day and about 30% coming when i was working out in a shake.

Yea you should probably just try and put on mass because in order to looz bodyfat and gain muscle you really have to be precise on everything you do and experiment with your own body. To tell you the truth i was doing it kind of by accident at first but i wrote everything down i was doing so i can tell you what i did

lately i think my gains in muscle mass haev slowed down, and i think the problem is calorie intake, i want to fasten up the gains without packing on much fat. but thats become an issue, finding the rite foods to eat

If you aren't tracking your daily intake then you don't really have a starting point from which to judge yourself by. If you aren't getting your required calories & macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs) you will see very little progress.

If I were you, I would sign up for a fitday account www.fitday.com (it's free) and track your eating habits for a few weeks. Once you do this you can post up and we can help you better.

I would tend to agree that you are not eating enough, most people don't, or are not willing to for fear of getting fat.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you think you eat in a day?
