I run three times a week. Tuesday 6 miles, Thursday 4.5 miles, and Saturday between 8 and 10 miles.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. For endurance, long
distance running, I feel, is best. If you want to maximize your muscle gains, you want to keep cardio to a minimum. So it just depends on what your goals are and what you're wanting to accomplish with cardio.
