sounds like you already do it right dark, i draig it up my shin, but it just barely touches my knee, and then i drag it all the way up on my thigh until lock out

I think you can get extra power dragging it up your body the entire way. Lean back and look up at the ceiling. Doing that will keep the bar on your body .
