DeadLift Question?

I was wondering what part of my routine to put the deadlifts under. Should I put it under my back or my leg part of my routine? Also, what muscle does it work out the most?

From what I've seen, most people include it in their back workouts, and so do I. The lower back is the main target.

deadlifts can really take it out of you and the same goes for squats. so if you do squats on a leg day i would definitely keep deadlifts on a back day.

cheers

Same here. I recommend putting the deadlifts first on back day since it's essentially a full-body exercise. Then move on to your pullups, rows and other back work.

I know a guy who finishes back day with deadlifts, which I don't agree with. You want to be strong and sharp for these. Being tired can introduce flaws in your form, which can lead to injury.

Agreed.... They're not only the heaviest exercise, but I also consider them the most important for overall back development, so put them at the top of the to-do list.....
