Hernia Recovery

Recently I had hernia surgery, (I contribute it to overtraining) and of course that puts a dampener on all my weight training. (and I was sooooo close to my goal too) Also put a stop to my triathlon training. Well, I am going to be cleared to return to lift on the 1st of May, and I have 5 weeks before my Vegas trip. Currently I am back running and biking, but can't lift anything over 25#.

My old routine was a tad bit boring and it took forever to see the finished product. I was wondering if there was a routine anyone used to get back into the swing of things quickly? I'm hoping to be able to hang out at the Hard Rock spa and not look like a blob (or the skinny thing I am becoming).

Any advice would be much appreciated.
