Hurt Leg

I probably couldnt have put this in general fitness, but whatever.

So I was playing football w/ my friends, and got tackled wierd, and this guys knee went straight into my quad. Hurt really bad. Thought it was a deadleg at first, but it's sticking around.

Can't tell if it's a pulled muscle, or just strained, or bruised or what. But it hurts to walk, and especially to go up stairs...

Should I just give it a few days to heal? Should I incorporate RICE?

I tried some Icy hot about an hour ago so we'll see how that ends up working...not really sure.

I HATE this stuff...i need my legs...its power clean day on monday

if you are able to walk on it still, the chances are that it could just be bruised quite badly. i would give it a few days and see how it feels. chances are it should be alot better by monday if it isnt something other than bruising

If you didn't twist/tear/dislocate anything, (and it sounds like you didn't) then it is most likely just a deep bruise. Ice will help with the swelling, but other than that you'll just have to let it heal on its own.

Yeah, I figured out couple days before I checked this post again that it was just a deep bruise. I've been icing it. Yet, yesterday, it go worse, and the pain actually moved.

I don't know if thats just the blood pool moving or what, but it was wierd. Either way, I'm giving it four more days. Hopefully Monday it';; be okay.
