Hurting Forearms when I curl alot

I have an issue that I seriously want to resolve. The fastest growing muscles are my arms. I can curl on dumbells with really no issues, but when I goto the curl bar, I have to do light weight because my arm hurts in these areas...like its cracked or something http://www.actionfx.net/downloads/arm1.jpg, and http://www.actionfx.net/downloads/arm2.jpg. Which means I cant grow, but I know without the cracked feeling I can curl a hell of a lot. Its holding me back. I started to think about bone density, but I read in a magazine and figured it might be some kind of fractured ligiment or something..I dunno. I have worked out for 7 months and I fought this the whole way, then I stopped for two months, and now im back, and it hurts again. For instance I like to curl 45 on both sides, but I can barely do 35 cause it hurts. Any help would be nice! thanks!

P.S. If im using the curl bar and I go from my lap to about half way...thats where it hurts the most! I have to hold onto the bar and let off slowly cause it hurts.

is it like a throbbing sensation? if so it might be arm pump and you might want to work some forearm exercises into your routine:confused:

i know exatly what you feel - i used to get these too. its like, youre going through the set, then maybe 4 reps in, it stats to feel like the bone is about to crush, and when you finally put the weight down after rep 8, it feels like that bone is gonna shatter. i felt it only in my left arm

i think the main reason is your forearms are too weak, or your biceps (maybe both) and you are using more forearm in the exercise. try this - curl, but dont grip your hands around the bar, instead, try keeping your palms out, just enough a curl to keep the bar from falling out. also bend your hands downward, so the weight is essentially at the top of your palm, right where the fingers are about to start

try curling like this - you probably have to lower the weight a bit. but if you dont feel the pain when you do this, it is probably weaker forearms as i said. you may be gripping the bar too tight to compensate for a forearm/bicep weakness. try curling barbell without gripping so tightly.

hope this helps.

yeah i get those too. It's a lot less with the EZ bar as opposed to the straight bar, but i still kinda get it. Like i'll go through my set, and it'll get worse and worse, and then when i go to put the bar down, and as i release my grip it'll hurt until i relax my grip. I try to not even grip the bar that hard but it still happens. I think it may just be stressing one or two of the smaller muscles of the forearm, maybe because of the grip. I don't know, i'm curious if anyone has some real insight here.

I used to get them. But it was only when I would put the weight down, I would get a weird sensation in the bones in my forearm. It would hurt, but not to an extent that it would limit me from progressing with the weight/development. Are you using the EZ bar? Or the straight bar? Try switching it up. Also, do some grip work. It could help you out.

I used the EZ bar. I will try working out my forearms extensively. If this is the case, I will post the result.
