Killing Arms SEVER PAIN


I went to the gym for the first time in 7 weeks 2 days ago and did an arm workout, the same as what i did before i stopped, now i can hardly straighten my arms it feels really really stiff at the lower end of my bicep and it hurts when i try and straighten them, could i have done any damge ? many thanks

What kind of pain are we talking here? Just sore/stiff? If so then I'd just chalk it up to DOMS and the fact that you haven't been in the gym in a few weeks.

It Is A Really Sore Pain It Really Hurts When I Try And Straighten Them I Can Only Go Bout 100 Degrees Then It Is Really Stiff And Everso Sore

Yup!

Happened to me before! Your muscles are not used to lifting that heavy. Try working your way backup to where you were before.

This pain should go away in a few days, but until it does, don't lift anymore until your muscles have recovered!

You need to warm up a bit more. Work your way back up to the heavier weights. Don't forget to stretch AFTER the workout. I've been where you are before, lots of times. My problem is usually that I can't bend the arm enough because the tricep doesn't want to stretch. Simple stretching after the workout really helps with this problem.

Whenever I come back from not lifting for a while, the first week I only do 2 sets of each exercise with weight a little below what I would normally use. I feel some soreness the next day or two but not nearly to the extent that you are feeling. I learned the same way you are, it sucks, and yes, the the lower part of you bicep will hurt like the dickens for a while.
