lactose intolerant ?

as a long term sufferer of stomach related issues
it was suggested I might be lactose intolerant

I noticed i would especialy suffer within 30 mins of the gym

whilst reading up on the subject of what you can and cant eat,
I was shocked to read that protein bars and meal replacement drinks
are a big no no for sufferers

this would explain a lot,as always pre gym,I swallow a big protein drink, and
soon as i finish another big protein drink goes down.

is there any truth to this, that the bars and drinks are a potetial prob

I decided to cut all dairy out for a month

should i stop all the protein shakes and bars?

what can i use instead ???

thanks a lot

Tony

Soy protein should do the trick I think. You might be able to find soy protein bars too... I'm kind of busy right now or I'd so some searching for you. Try bulknutrition.com. That's where I order most of my goods from

Oh here ya go buddy:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/proteinfinder.htm

Go down and select Yes for "Low Lactose?" and check out what all protein products they have for people with lactose problems. They have a bar finder also at the bottom of the page.

A more pure form of whey (isolate) works for me. There are varying levels of intolerance. You will have to do some trial and error to see what exactly affects you.
