Left arm lagging

Before, when my left arm was significantly weaker than my right, I overcame this by adding 1-3 extra reps of dumbell work with each set. This helped it catch up in strength quite a bit. Today, I noticed that the left arm is noticably smaller than the right. I had my wife check and she said that it is the bicep - not the tricep. They are equal. I was thinking to catch the left bi up to the right one I would just do an extra couple of lighter weight sets of maybe 10 reps after my regular arm workout.

Will this do it?

possibly - but when i had trouble with first my left arm lagging then, after a bout of swimmer's shoulder, my right, i found that using ONLY the weak arm to load and unload the plates really went far toward building strength up quickly. more strength = more weight handled = more muscle

Been doing that one for about 3 months now.

you know, it's pretty wierd, the tape says they both are 15.25". But the left bicep is visibly smaller. That must mean the left tri is bigger??? That IS the weak one - odd.

I need to knwo too. My left arm is probably 3/4 inch smallre than my right which is very noticable if i put my arms close together out in front of me. Strengthwise it's only a rep or two behind now but it used to be way way behind. Size wise it's still lagging. I gues over time it'll prolly catch up but whatever lol. This is why i'm glad im a powerlifter!

It's perfectly normal for one arm to be slightly bigger than the other. My right trap is smaller than my left trap. You can counter balance this problem by using dumbbells as they co-ordinate your efforts more so you should hopefully start noticing results in a month or two. Best of Luck.

Any unbalanced muscles can usually be overcome with the use of Dumbells...however, that being said, everyone has one side that's bigger, it's inevitable really. A girl has always got a breast that is bigger, one side of your hair, will always grow longer, and one side of your body willl always be a bit bigger, its some stupid human thing

well same here, both my biceps are the same strength but my left is smaller, i got told that its just because im right hand dominent and the muscle fibers dont contract properly or that i cant contract them properly.....but over time i will learn how to....and i can see my left starting to come up, so yeah......
