Also between sets how much are you resting? I rest 4minutes, people that rest too little (can't generalise) i think are impeding their ability to lift to an extent.
I did once a week for almost a year... Not very impressive results at all... This high frequency thing is fairly new to me... The angle I work from is that as long as my CNS is recovered fully (hence only lifting 3 days a week, PLENTY of rest), my muscles will have recovered as well, as muscle fibers generally recover quicker than the CNS... If weights stop going up, I'll simply adjust my volume or calorie intake, or take a light week...

3-4 minute rests between sets, for similar reasons as above... Any less and my weights drop too fast... I'd rather wait for 4 minutes and do 6 reps at 220 than wait for 2 minutes and do 3 reps...

Thing is tho, arms and shoulders are pretty much the only things that aren't progressing... My squat and deadlift blew up (ca 300 & 350 respectively) and my back and legs are progressing nicely... So it's most likely not my overall workout that is lacking, but the specific work I do for arms and shoulders...

perhaps it's a case of your arms and shoulders being overworked without you being aware of it? besides the weights, what else do you do that maybe involves a lot of upper body work?

and then, it could be a case of them being genetically programed to be efficient enough that growth is hard come by - have you compared against your family?

That's the thing, I don't do shiit... If something needs to be lifted or carried, I'm usually called upon, but generally, my job requires little to no lifting and I have too much school work to really perform any rigorous activity outside of my lifting...

Genetics are the answer I come up wit every time I assess the situation... I'm built exactly like my father, who was a mechanic, strong and wiry as hell without being big at all... In fact, I think I'm heavier now than he ever was...

You know... I was looking through my first posts on here from about a year ago, and at that time my arms were rougly 13'... So I've put on nearly an inch and a half in the past year... Not as bad as I first thought... They're still puny though...

Ahhh, what the hell... I'll just keep lifting and trying to add weight... They HAVE to grow sooner or later... Don't they...?

1.5" in that short of a time? Probably most advanced bodybuilders would be proud to get that.

That is impressive.

See kids, all you have to do is grow up like gearloose - a fully mature guy - and you can build a$$kicking guns.

I suspect proper dietary dicipline has something to do with good growth too. Over 2 years training hard. Started at 300 pounds. Lost down to a reasonable size and weight. Started with 15", now only 15.25" 1/4 inch in 2 years??? I need to eat more.

Those 15" arms at 300 pounds were probably 13" of muscle & bone with 2 " of blubber surrounding them. Most 300 pound guys I've seen packed a lot of fat on their arms. So, even though your arms haven't increased much in oveall diameter, I'm willing to bet you have gained a lot of muscle to replace that fat.
