The fitness model was decently big but not that strong at all, at 225 he was about 70% as strong as me (200lbs) on juice and weak as a kitten off them. I've always seen this as a tell tale sign of a juicer, someone who is way bigger than they are strong. Anyone else noticed this?

But what really aggrivated me is that he showed up at the fitness magazine shoot and openly admitted he was on steroids and it wasn't a big deal and the makeup artist seemed used to it. If I buy a fitness magazine I don't want to see juicers b/c training and eating on juice is entirely differernt that natural.
The fighter wasn't looking to get hyooge, he said he was taking roids for the enhanced recovery ability.

I don't understand why most people on this board get so excited about squats. Why are squats so damn good? First off, to do any weight that matters my shoulders hurt like hell, then if you are doing so much weight my lower back gets such a huge strain that I don't even feel like going very low. Why is leg press such a lower form of pressing exercise? I love the leg press and I don't have to worry about my shoulders hurting or my lower back breaking.

And another thing, you can gain plenty of size by only doing machines, I don't only do machines, but you can still gain size from doing them.

I keep missing the True Life episode, I really want to see it, just to see how stupid these guys are.

You just have form issues. Your shoulders hurt when you squat because your grip on the bar is too narrow. Your back hurts when you go deep because your back is weak. Next thing you gonna tell me is hyperextensions are better than deadlifts.

yes, many bbers squat a crapload - but you never see them. the vids i often run into are huge guys with massive weight on the bar and a range of 4". what ticks me off is that beginners will look at that and think that's a proper way to go.

300 pounds on my shoulders, that hurts no matter where my arms are.

And I injured my lower back years ago, so I just stick with the leg press. Oh, and I love leg extensions!!! hahahaha, though they aren't my staple, just one of the exercises I do.

My next question (that has been asked time and time before here with always inconclusive answers) is how do you train for size? I've alway's trained 3 sets/move 2 moves/body part 6-9 reps/set and am way stronger than I look. I'd like to look at least as strong as I am since I'm not a competative powerlifter (too tall) and have more than enough strength for daily life.
How do you train for size? EAT MORE!

I doubt that's possible here's is a very typical day of eating for me very evenly spaced out
1/2 chicken breast handful of raisin bran
Whey shake 1/2 banana
Ham and Cheese omlet (8 whites 2 yoks) cup oats
1/2 PB&J on whole wheat, whey shake
can of tuna on whole wheat
chicken breast & veggies
1/2 chicken breast lowfat yoghart
can of tuna on whole wheat
1/2 chicken breast, apple, banana
2 whey shakes, bagel
chicken breast with veggies & rice
1/2 PB&J on whole wheat, whey shake
chicken breast with veggies
cottage cheese with fruit.
(if the chicken is all chicken and not substatuded with lean beef it's a little over 2lbs daily)
So still how does one train for size?

Sounds like you have a case of vaginitis.

Man up, for crying out loud.

I'm not doubting that you eat a lot, you just have to eat a lot for your body's metabolism. Has your weight and or size been relatively the same for an extended period of time??
