Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to see if I could ask for some advice, since it seems like a lot of you know what you're doing! I just bought a Pro-Form 640 (you can do bench, incline, shoulders,
preacher curl, leg press,
leg extension, butterfly) and some hand weights to work out with at home and I wanted to develop a good routine. I've worked out at gyms before but it's a lot more convenient to work out from home so I thought I'd try that route-- I'll probably still go back to the gym a few times a week to do some cardio, though. I have a little experience working out but need advice on what exercises to do when, since I've heard it's bad to work out the same muscles 2 days in a row.
When I used to work out at the gym, I'd go every day and one day I'd do bench press, incline press, shoulders, triceps, seated row, cardio, and abs. The next day I'd do biceps, butterfly, leg press, leg extension, cardio, and abs. I've talked to several people and they've said that's a bad routine because I'm working out the same muscle groups 2 days in a row but I haven't been able to get any recommendations for a proper workout-- could someone please help?
I know nutrition is a large part of it, too, and have developed a pretty good diet, I just need help with the workout!
Thanks,
Evan
