New Squat Max !!! (and MAX-OT thoughts)

154lbs YAY!!!! (weak compared to you but strong compared to me 6 weeks ago - and it's me I am competing against : )

Just back from my first day going Max-OT esque and for anyone out there who is wondering it seems like their ideas are good ones, particularly in regards to the warmup/acclimatisation sets.

I won't tell you how it works (lord knows there's enough threads/websites for that) but will share with you that I added 20kg's (44lbs) to my Squat today.

Lots of reasons for this (more comfortable with form, went super farkin heavy last week etc...), but I do think the altered (very gentle really) warmup was a key factor. I was tempted to take another set and push it even heavier (rekon I could have ... but not by much ) but by the end of the session I was glad I didn't, I was wobbling all the way home lol.

I'll get back to y'all in 2 months and let ya know if it works building muscle or not.

Happy.

Good job with the squat. Before you know you'll be doing 3 plates on each side.
