Nsca-cpt


I take the NSCA-CPT exam on wednesday!!

Anybody with a certification have any tips or advise??

i have not taken the exam but i have heard it is very difficult.

what have you done to prepare?

study study study
im really nervous and scared
ive been studying the nsca's essentials for personal training text
and listening to the cd-rom lectures as well. but your brain can only load so much info at once ya know

yeah, i hear you on that!

so what sort of stuff are you required to know? im assuming advanced anatomy, exercise principles, etc. what other things did you have to know that you were not familiar with by working out on a regular basis?

you have to know alot less with the cpt exam than you do the c.s.c.s.

basic excercise technique of course, program design, fitness assessments, client consultations, all the basic stuff
bmr's, heart rate reserves. forumulas for all sorts of different things, etc

the hardest part is the excercise science part obviously. but you dnt have to know too much of that for the cpt
