well i have obliques but i can seem to ge tehm to be very defined. and when i say obliques i mean that muscle, and the muslce that connects to it, which completes the "7" looking shape( i guess the hip flexors is what its called?or mabe even the interal obliques? i dont' really kno). so what excersies should i do? or shoudl i try to lose some fat in my glutes etc.

If you want more definition in any part of your body losing fat is always gonna be a good place to start.

To build some musslce in your obliques you can take baisicaly any ab exersize you do and turn it on it's side (ie: crunches leg and raises). Also if you go to a gym they probably have at least one oblique specific machine.

Bump and scissors work best.

Planks are very good exercise. Once you can get up to 1 minute add on some weight you'll really feel the burn!

For abs like any other group I like to add wieght. Twisting situps on a deline are my favorite for these also leg raises (lie flat on a bench, hold a dumbell between you feet and raise you feet as high as possible) really seem to hit you lower abs. Hyper extension situps are great (where your thighs and torso actually goes past a straight line)
