Finally got off my butt and re-booked my physical testing. Last time I did it (which was over a year ago) I failed the obstacle portion by
10 seconds...and I was so put off that I've been scared to try again ever since.
I think I stand a far better chance this time around. The obstacle portion requires a lot of
leg strength+endurance, and I think my legs have improved dramatically because I've finally incorporated squats into my regime.
One thing I really need to focus on is cardio...not just endurance but there's a lot of anaerobic components to the test. I was going to add some endurance cardio and HIIT into my current schedule, but it's going to be tricky with my wacky shift work. If I come up with a good regime, I'll post it up and have you guys take a look at it.
In the meantime, wish me luck.
