Question on muscle reduction

i have real muscular calves and i want to tone them down. should i do low weight high rep calf raises to tone down the muscle? or just drop the weights together and just run?

I could be wrong here...so please(anyone) correct me if I am but....By my opinion running is a great way to build calf muscles...So If I were you I would find some other form of cardio that isn't so tense on your calves.

That being said(still correct me if Im wrong), Theres no such thing as spot reduction...in fat, AND in muscle....So It's gonna be hard to lose the large calf muscles, without losing other valueable muscles as well...

I would not specifically work the calves. They are worked while doing squats, lunges, deadlifts, and many forms of cardio. Don't drop the weights, just don't do isolated exercises for the calves.

Unless you have trained to develop your calves to this level, I think you are stuck with them. Your Mom & Dad are to thank.

i have the exact same problem: my calves swell up like balloons with very little effort.

i found it's just more ego-satisfying to bring everything else up so they're in proportion, lol!

seriously, i don't work my calves any more - the odd set once a week if i get bored, but that's it.
