Ive posted here before and have dropped over 50lbs over 2 years. Im at a stage where Im 20-22lbs away from my goal and still have 15%bf to drop.
Im 6'00 - 24yrs and 26-29% body fat.
Im on a 3 day split Chest/tri, back/bi, legs/shoulders that will end june 30th(6 weeks). I do 3 sets of 15 reps but again im doubtin my workout.
I walk 3 miles everday as my work commute...in a shirt and tie so NO i cant walk fast.
My diet is clean, my workouts are getting confusing and im having a hard time relating these but hope you guys can help me answer my questions;
1. my RMR- Ive read and calculated my RMR using 5 different methods on an online calculator and have come up with 2300 calories approximately.
a. This 2300 calories means the ammount Il burn if I sat there in bed doing 0 activity right? Ok well other than walkin 3 miles, i do my cardio or resistance workouts. They also have this number which is the daily activity factor which when used shows that i need 3000 CALORIES TO MAINTAIN THE WEIGHT THAT I AM DOIN THE
DAILY ACTIVITIES I DO.
-me being an endomorph, my metabolsm is naturally slow so does this apply to me or anyone??
- What is the correct ammount to eat giving you the cardio i do 5 days a week for work and my
resistance training? eat 2300 or bump it up since im burning 300 anywyaz?
- other than 40/40/20, any other particular recomendation?
- calorie cycle?
- carb cycle?
b. WORKOUT - im doin 15*3 and im in my second week. After doin it for 1.5 weeks ive read that its BS in a way. A balance is the way togo... but I have 26ish% BODYFAT, shouldnt i concentrate on endurance?
I heard i should do strength-endurance workouts, where I sorta do a pyramid
12-10-6-6 with MINIMAL rest, this way I can make STRENGTH and ENDURANCE....... DO YOU BELIEVE THIS CAN BE ACHIEVED??
c. CARDIO - with that bodyfat on me, I HAVE in the past (3 months ago) done HIIT at 6.9 for 30 sec's, rest 2 minits...repeat.......it kinda hurt the shins but that must be the shoe........ question:
On my days off do you recomend me pursuing HIIT or stick to walking but faster?
i SINCERELY appreciate your responses.
