Rocky here I come

My colleagues and I were in a bar after work and talk died a little and jokingly one of them asked ''so what are you benching these days''. I reeled off my stats to a fair amount of shock 'That's two of me?!?!' was heard. Talk moved on to the new Rocky movie and his one arm push ups and a couple of folk asked if I could do it. I hadn't tried in years, but when most people weren't looking I dropped down and cranked out two no problem. When I got up most of them had been watching and were amazed and the rest wanted me to go again.

No it's not the toughest thing in the world, but it's always cool when you surprise people

You'll find that with a little hard work, its not hard to drop the average person's jaw. You just don't get very many opportunities. I usually claim modesty when it comes to weight training, though I love attention. Ironic.

Yeah I think the difference between us and the jerks is that we don't do things unless asked.

And the coolest thing is when we suprise ourselves.

Good that you can do them.:

got me thinking about 1-arm pushups when I read that, had to plop down in my office and try a few. Must have been 5 years since I last did one. I may have to do them more often.
