lol, for a second I thought that read "lacour_dvd_porn."
Probably be interesting to watch, but $50.00 is a lot.
Anyone notice how he does his pull-downs? I know a lot of people were bagging on someone in a different video with similar form, but is there anything wrong about doing them that way? Almost seems more like a row using a pull-down machine.

Cort htere's a difference between how he's doing them and what we saw in a previous video (I remember because I posted it). The guy from the other video was recruiting all kinds of momentum. Skip did the reps alot slower even though he was moving a bit.

it's a shame when they sacrifice good form for good camera....

i dont think skip la cour even does max ot? i saw somewhere he does 2 sets of 50 reps for his calves?? and i think he was utilizing the 1.5 rep principle on some of his exercises on that video.
hes one of my favorite BBers, hes huge with no roids.

Are you sure? All IFBB pros deny roids but we all know they do them. I'm not saying he does but I don't believe a word most "professionals" in the sport say. In a magazine you'll read Jay Cutler give you "his" massive shoulder routine with high reps and in the same month he'll give another magazine a low volume routine that he "swears" by. That video was just an AST advertisment as far as I could tell.

of course it's an AST infomercial - the entire site is, but unlike the vast majority of infomercials, there's good information in there that you don't have to buy anything to be able to use.
i'm not saying their stuff is good or it isn't, but i am more likely to give it a try if i happen to come across it in the store just because i'm so happy with the workout routine and the other information on the site.

I'll give em' credit for their workout routine and the results people are getting, on top of the fact that it's free and you don't have to buy anything to use it. I'm just highly skeptical, always critical and intolerant in general. lol

Of course all IFBB pros use roids, and there are those who do deny it, and those who don't...and for the ones who do deny it, well, of course they do...it's a federal offense and you can go to prison for it, so wouldn't you deny it to? I think so!
Of course the video for AST was an advertisement, it was advertising for you to buy their video...it's what all companies do in order to make money. It doesn't mean that what is in the video isn't legit, because obviously it works...look at the entire AST bodybuilding crew, as well as those who have followed the routines to a "T" (me included). Believe me, they work if you follow it, so to me, it is worth advertising and hyping it up...why not?

My birthday is coming up in June...and yes, I am asking for this from my girlfriend...I think it would be an awesome investment and I am sure I'd learn even more about how Max OT works. It's something I think would only help me in executing my exercises optimally. I know Skip Lacour has a bunch of videos out that look good, so I'll have to decide which one(s) to get. After June 6th, I'll let everyone know if it was worth it or not. Sound good?
NOTE: I am currently training for the FAME/WNSO 2006 Championships, which takes place next year (June of 2006). I will be competing in the "Advanced Division", where I will be aiming to take home my Pro card and become a professional natural bodybuilder. So, any edge I can get, will help me do my very best. I have personally consulted with Jeff Willet (another AST crew bodybuilder), who is now an IFBB Pro, who's diet regimen helped me get into the shape of my life for my first contest. I have no doubt that Jeff, Skip, and the rest of the AST crew KNOW exactly what they're talking about when it comes to nutrition, training, supplementation and sleep.

Excellent Todd! I certainly wish you the best in your efforts. By all means, keep us posted on your preparation progress. And 'yes', let us know what you think of the 2-DVD set.
$50 isn't that big of a deal, is it? Especially if the advice that it contains is worthwhile.
