Stretch Marks
Since i broke my arm and leg i have been training hard and eating well, but the only problem is that i have gained a few stretch marks on my triceps and biceps and across the back of my shoulders, they have grown good size in 3 months but i am not to sure if i am gaining weight to quick (2 stone in about 3 months) ive been told different things by different people, most of my weight is bulk but i have developed a little extra bodyfat that i dont want but is that a part of building up?
All help will be much appreciated many thanks

only one thing causes stretch marks: growing past your skin's ability to stretch.
there are NO creams or lotions that will get rid of bad ones, although retinoic acid and dermabrasion can remove or lessen thinner ones. the damage is done at the deepest layers of the skin, which is why vitamin E oil and cocoa butter etc just don't work. massage can help improve the skin's elasticity and possibly reduce formation. laser treatment can fill in and minimize the appearance of stretch marks.

I could be very wrong here but from what I've heard a poor diet can cause stretchmarks where you eat too much to soon or something like that and you grow to rapidly. I don't and I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

from your skin's point of view, growth is growth - whether it's normal teenaged growth spurts, muscular hypertrophy, or a burgeoning belly is irrelevent: if it's happening too fast for your skin to adjust, you'll get stretch marks.

ok, but what if it's not to fast.....will you eventually still develope stretch marks?......yeah i have stretch marks, up along the top of my right shoulder, my guess was that because my front delt on that side was growning to fast, and on the inside of both arms right up where your pecs meet your bicep, but yeah i suppose thats pretty common aye?

aye
what i'm saying about stretch marks is that if you have pliable skin, it will accomodate a larger size more easily. if you don't have pliable skin, you'll get stretch marks. it's not how big you grow, it's how fast. you could quadruple your size but if you do it within your skin's tolerance, you wo'nt get stretch marks.

I have some stretch marks on my left bicep, but not my right. That's pretty weird, since my right is a little bigger because I'm a righty. I don't like stretch marks, but since there isn't any way to make them go away, I just deal with it.
