stretching doms

Stretching doms does make them feel better (b/c you are working out the acid right?) what effect does this have on recovery?

Does it help the muscles grow? a good way to increase flexibility (stretch them so they grow back longer)? or inhibit recovery b/c you are stressing them when they are trying to recover?

Stretching at the end of a workout is fine, but I see no need to stretch a muscle because it's sore. It's sore because you've damaged muscle cells and broken them down. Stretching isn't going to make them feel better, at least I don't think. Quality nutrition and sleep is what's going to take care of doms and help your muscles adapt optimally.

proper stretching is anything but stressful. stretching properly helps keep your muscles limber and flexible and flushes out the lactic acid, as well as improves oxygenation.

At least for me stretching temporarily makes them feel better probably b/c the lactic acid is getting flushed out.

do you think taking vitamin c ester would help doms right after a workout to flush out the radicals?
