Stretching while sore?

When you are sore the next day from lifting, is it good to stretch that muscle? For example if I did legs yesterday and my legs are killing me today, should I try to stretch them or let them heal until next week when I do legs again THAN stretch them before I workout.

Stretching usually helps me alleviate pain. Showering using bursts of hot/cold water helps as well as messages.

Doesnt stretching allow more blood to get into the muscle which is actually GOOD?

Stretching seems to help my muscles, but I warm up first with a light run or the bike.

Stretching is GOOD! I've been running for years and when I am sore or hurt I always stretch. Make sure you are a little warmed up first. Try to hold the stretch for 30 seconds - yes it can get painful, but the difference when done is phenomenal!

I highly recommend stretching every day. Stretching in the morning releases a chemical in your body that counteracts the chemical that makes you sleepy. Daily stretching can help you maintain a flexibility that you will be very happy to have when you become old. :
