Ahhhhh... These cats are in every gym too... Why curl an olympic bar wit no plates when there are half a dozen unused barbells and EZ-bars around the gym...? I wanna squat goddamnit...
Old, ex-powerlifters that hug the deadlift station for an hour and a half and refuse to let anybody do sets inbetween, even if they have 8 minute breaks between sets... Not that I feel like deloading 300lbs for every set anyway...
Screamers and droppers... Admit it, ya do it for the attention...
People that make small talk instead of lifting big weight...
People that ask me to spot them and then take 90 seconds to prep for their lift, stalling and excusing what will inevidably be an embarassing lift, because they put to much weight on, by saying they haven't benched in a year...
People that ask for my advice and then continue doing ONLY isolation exercises for 20 reps... I said deadlifts, 5x5 damnit...
People that are bigger than me... There are many...

How about the people who squat with so much weight they move only like 2 inches? I know we all see it all the time, but I actually stopped to watch some guy do it the other day (I have become overly critical of everyone at the gym, just because I know only 1 out of 10 people do the exercises correctly) and when you watch it from the side, it really looks absolutely ridiculous, lol. I mean it doesn't even look like a squat, it looks like they are spazzing out or something.
ok here's another---the dumbass personal trainer at my gym (who IMO is a fricken idiot, but I digress, I dunno how the hell he gets ANY clients) "instructing" a client on doing tricep pushdowns by letting the bar swing all the way up over their head and then brought down, all the while hearing him explain how he is "isolating" their triceps with this exercise....bwahahahaha

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i bet he teaches them to "isolate" their biceps by boosting the barbell with their quads, too.

ok that's not really funny, but it is stupid and annoying.

Just tell them to move. Its a squat rack not a curl rack (whatever the hell a curl rack is).

that fraternity is an embarrassment... My house in college had 4 collegiate wrestlers and Alex Stepanovitch the center for Ohio State plus numerous other meatheads, plus, a lift-a-thon?! I bet those dumbasses didn't even stretch, and I don't know what the hell the spotters thing they are doing. When you have spotters on the end of the bar, their only job is to get the damn bar off you if if falls, other than that they are only going to hurt you because neither will "help" you equally. God that webpage makes me angry just looking at it.
Oh, other things that make me angry, people who wear those HUGE skating shoes to the gym that make them look like little kids wearing their father's shoes. Plus their sideways hats and shaggy hair (I don't care about the hair, but the combination kills me) then they walk around and talk loudly about how much they lifted YESTERDAY.
They are all kids of higher ranking officers, hopefully their parents will kick them in the ass and make them join the military.

Screamers - Sorry dude, I do that and I'm in the gym alone - it's my private gym behind my house. Sometimes, trying to get the weight up with my puny little muscle mass makes some pretty bad noises come out.
Bigger than me - yep, that's what leads to the screaming - trying to get big enough.

i'd have to agree on the guys that do squats, or even leg press, with way too much weight and only move like 2 inches. I just wana slap them in the face. Also one time a guy was using one of the squat racks for every frickin exercise. Military press, curls, upright rows, you name it, and i don't even know if he did actual squats. he didn't leave it for at least a half an hour.

i used to yip and yowl with teh best of them until i learned that to move REALLY heavy weight, you hold your breath. if i exhale on the bench press, the barbell will gently settle down onto my chest and it ain't coming up. so now i suck in a big lungful of air at the start and hold it until i'm done the rep before exhaling.
