I know a little something about supersets

Supersets are when you do 2 or more different exercises consecutively. For example, an tricep superset might be a set of tricep pushdowns followed immediately by a set of overhead extensions. The trick is that there is no rest between the 2 (or more) sets.

please note: you have to drop the weights if you're going to do this.

If you are doing 3 consecutive sets of hammer curls, thats a drop set, not a superset. And yes, you will have to drop the weight between sets unless you use rest pauses.

Yeah. Where are you getting this routine from? Supersets with more than 2 exercises are some pretty serious stuff, especially in the low rep range.

correct me if I'm wrong, but *technically* isn't a back to back set involving the same muscle group called a "compound set" whereas a back to back set involving antagonistic (opposite) muscle groups is called a "superset"?

For example, barbell curls immediately followed by hammer curls would be a compound set and a set of barbell curls immediately followed by tricep pushdowns would be a super set.

They're all supersets, compund and antagonistic are specific types of supersets. Kinda like guerilla cardio is a specific type of HIIT.

you're probably the wrong person to argue with over supersets, so OK :

three or more exercises involving different body parts back to back is sometimes called a "circuit set".
