Switching from night to morning workouts? Any difference?
I am about to go back to school after a 3-month work break, during which I worked out immediately after work, around 5:30pm. Now, the way my schedule looks if I want to guarantee a workout before I'm exhausted by the classes it has to be done in the morning around 9 - 10am.
What are the things that I have to change (if any) for this switch? Diet, supplements, exercises, intensity, anything?
Thanks in advance

IMHO-You will actually see better gains by working out earlier. I think it keeps the metabolism up longer to burn more calories. Just make sure you eat your largest meals of starchy carbs around the workout. Your last meal should be primarily good proteins and fiberous veggies

I would really like to work out in the morning. But I just can't imagine getting up earlier than I already do and working out hard for an hour. The making my breakfast and the meals to take with me. AND THEN going to work. How do you other 9 to 5'ers do it?

It is called "How much do you want this"! I get up at 4:30am eat something small and workout at 5:00. If I didn't workout first then by time I get home - after 7:00pm - it would be tough mentally to go workout. I also would have trouble sleeping with that late of a workout. Yes, I take 4 meals to work with me every day. Priorities, baby, priorities!

Yeah, I get to work at 0700 and I hit the gym at 0730. As long as there are no fire calls or "Hits" as we like to call them.
It's nice having a full gym at work!

I've got this fitness test coming up in 4wks time.
So i've started to train with this fitness instructor at 7.30am on Tues/Thurs.
Otherwise i'm training at 4.30pm on Mon/Wed/Fri.
Yesterday i had to much energy that i went back to the gym after work for a cardio workout.
Im gonna see how my body develops with this new morning/double workout routine.

i would say you would feel more refreshed and "alive" on the days you lift in the morning. make sure you are still getting the right amount of sleep tho.

i did Body for life for 12 weeks working out at night. I restarted another 12 weeks working out in the morning, and I must say, it was very tough the first week to get up every morning, but then your body starts to expect you to work out in the morning, so when you jump out of bed, your body is ready to go.
I had very rough workouts the first 3 days or so. Now, i cant imagine how i could ever go back to training at night. I still cant believe i did it 12 weeks without missing any workouts. Now, if i were to miss one in the morning, i have no idea how i would be able to force myself to do it after im tired from work.
