Taking a week off soon...
Basically Ive been working out solidly for the last 12 weeks or so without a break, and Ive seen some nice results, however my joints are feeling a bit tired and I just basically feel like I should take a week off to recover completely and go back stronger. I was just wondering, should I still do cardio during this week off? I weight train 4 times a week and basically do a 15 minute job after each workout to keep the heart healthy. Should I still do this jog during the week off?

I would do something lower impact than jogging if you're aim is to recover.
I don't jog at all as it destroys my legs and I look clumsy and stupid doing it anyway....lol.
Walking, cycling, ellpitical, swimming are all good low-impact cardio activities.

I tried to just drop the cardio and then drop the weight work. It wasn't as productive recovery as a week of nothing would have been.

Just take off and rest. If you want to do something try walking. Walking is still a good exercise. Remember that's how most people get started. It's good for the advanced as well as the beginner.

In addition to what others have said, remember that not all activity has to be a defined "workout" Play basketball with friends, take a walk with your grandma, play some DDR, take a bike ride, etc.

It's the most incredibly addictive video game ever! Have you ever tried it Andy? It's sooooooo fun!!!!!!!
My out of shape friends are impressed that I can keep dancing several songs in a row while they take a rest every song.

Never. There is a follow along dance machine at fun world, the expensive arcade, mini golf, go cart race place here. It shows the steps you are supposed to do, plays the music and you then try to remember the steps and do them. My kid completely smokes me on this. Is it similar to DDR?

DDR has arrows pointing up, down, left and right. The arrows scroll along with the music, and you're supposed to step on the corresponding arrows when they reach the top of the screen. Similar to what you're describing, but more of a mad dash to keep up, rather than memorizing the steps.
They have arcade and at home versions with a dance pad you can hook up to a gaming console.
