tanning for effect

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes.

On TV they were talking about how celeberties have thier tans airbrushed on to enhance the look of their bodies. My question is to make your abs look better would you want to tan the peeks or valleys?

Rather than spray on a partial tan, you could purchase a t-shirt that has abs already printed on it.

If you are going to spray, I would spray all over. Forget "spot" spraying.

we could then play tic-tac-toe!

seriously: develop your abs and let them speak for themselves; no point gilding the lily.

but if you ARE going to play silly buggers, then you'd want the valleys to be tanned the most because that will make them darker and hence look deeper. you'll just look really, really wierd when you lay down which is NOT the time to have her staring at your stomach and thinking "what is UP with that!?"

Or.....you could just tan your whole body? Darker skin in general seems to enhance the look of muscles.

case in point: Black people generally look far more cut than lighter skinned people, this is because of how the light reflects off their skin. Tanning has the same effect, though I don't recommend tanning to that extreme.

I concur. Everything in moderation.

I tan for a skin condition and not for aesthetics. But one notable side-effect is that my muscle development looks pretty sweet.

I tan my arms only. It looks pretty goofy. I should find time to lay out by my pool.

If you are going to tan, do it all over - it does look better.

and give yourself skin cancer. i really dont see how a tan is worth it. if you need one, go the fake.

im not denying that a nicely tanned body doesnt look nice. but after seeing what its can do to your skin, no thanks. my mate is 23, and has a huge scar on his back from where they removed it :/ ... he was lucky, if they go undetected for some time, it can enter the bloodstreem, and then its good bye.

Fake tans always look...well fake lol. And half the time they come out retarded, especially the spray ones.

A certain amount of sun is healthy for you, and it fights depression :
Plus cancer i s like completely random anyway, according to the latest doctors it seems everything causes cancer. Its ridiculous really, some of the crap they come up with.. Either way, its good to be careful, dont spend fifty hours in the harsh beating sunlight on a a regular bassis, but theirs nothing wrong with lying out for a couple hours and getting a tan, natural tans are always the best.

Lying out for a couple of hours unprotected is just a bad idea. Just a good 15-20 minutes outside can cause you to tan over time. In my case its usually farmers tan because I run outside more often during the summer.

the thing about cancer is this:

if you go outside and tan and wallow around in the sun, you MIGHT get skin cancer, which is unsightly and uncomfortable, but rarely fatal.

if you avoid the sun, use fake tans, and 100% sunblock, you MIGHT get colon cancer, which is MORE uncomfortable and frequently fatal.

as always, pick your poison.
