That last bit of fat clinging to the stomach..

Well you know, the wee bit that clings on to the bottom of your stomach and chest. When I grab at my stomach, I can feel a small bit of fat still there, not going away for quite some while. About 5 of my abdominals can be seen, but theres still a small bit left being covered up by fat.

I am 15, 5' 6" and 126 pounds, tested a few days ago to be 9-10% BF (although this was soon after I drank a bunch of water and had some afternoon food, so I'm not sure how accurate it was). At this size I probably should be bulking, but I'd still like to see that I can indeed acheive what my initial goals were before I make up a new one.

As far as my diet goes, I eat about 1900 - 2300 calories a day and all of it is considerably clean although if theres interest I'd be more than happy to post a log of what I eat at certain times of the day.

On the exercise side, I've done 30 minutes of HIIT running around the neighborhood on Mon., Wed., Fri., and Sun. ever since swim season stopped in Feb. The path I follow is about 1/4 uphill, 1/4 downhill and 1/2 flat, and I usually warm up for four minutes, sprint for 15-20 secs, jog for 45-60 seconds, and repeat until I get close to home again, then start warming-down. The total distance covered is around 2.1 miles. I'd love to do more, but my feet are barely arched so they'll start to hurt really bad if I did any more. On the days I don't run I lift for a little under an hour (this is something I just started doing so I'm pretty weak compared to some of you).

So I'm asking what it is I can improve on in order to get rid of that last bit of flab. Its definately not much at all, but if theres something left to fix, you might as well fix it right?

I know this is a long post, I apologize, but I wanted to cram in enough detail for people to actually be able to help me.

Thanks.

keep dropping that BF% / you may also want to make sure you're lifting

Thats the thing. I know that I'm able to drop it, just that through the plan I have now, I seem to be stuck at where I'm at.

Hang in there. It will eventually go away. You said you are 15, Just think of the hormonal advantage you have over us old guys. Over the next 2 - 3 years, your testosterone levels will keep going up and up and you will build lots of muscle and burn all the fat you want if you keep at it. Dont do like I did and get really fit now then stop and get fat in your 20's. It is really hard to change back when you are in your 30's. Nine to ten % BF, that's great, you are almost there.

I still have that to an extent, but I noticed this past week its actually shrinking. I've also been on a 3 week blitz to lose it.

I've been jogging one night a week, lifting two or three and hiking every saturday for 3-4 hours.

Switch up your diet, switch up your cardio. Try some different things. Sometimes that's all it takes to restart the fat burning process. Maybe ease up on the cardio and try more lifting. More cardio isn't always more productive. I didn't do any calculations but you might be able to drop your cals a bit, although I wouldn't do that until you've tried to switching up your routines. Your body has probably just gotten used to what you're doing, and that's when the fat loss plateaus.

Actually, I'm going to buck the trend here and go with 'wrong'.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to lose last little bits of fat but you have to remember that at fifteen you're still going through some pretty heavy growing and unless you've got a really good reason one of the last things you want to be doing is depriving that growth of fuel.
