I have a few myself

1) The muscle head groups that act so hard to look cool. They use the gym as a hangout and a place to be loud and show off how strong they are.

2) They guy who is always walking around looking like they are mad at the world about something. They usually look in the mirror to see how mad they look while looking at their chest/arms.

3) The dude who does a set then goes up to the mirror and lifts his shirt to see how ripped he looks. Come on bro if you want to do that wait till you get home.

4) The dude has on a t-shirt that is 1-2 sizes 2 small...whis is usally some lame designer brand. Come on buddy there are not scouts looking for Holister models

5) Chicks that go to the gym for the main reason to get checked out. You watch them walk around and they are always looking to see if dudes are drooling over them. Most of them are blesses with genetics where they look awsome w/o working out. Then when you see them work out they put forth no effort at all b/c they dont want to break a sweat so they wont look as pretty.

sorry i guess i didn't phraze that correctly. the gym regulars are super nice to me...always making room, or giving me a spot if needed. it's the new guys or the ones who aren't there on a regular basis or the ones who are out of shape that look at me funny when i go into the 'guys area'. i find it more amusing when i curl more then they do. ;-)

Some of you guys really need to get over some of these. You are just adding un-needed stress to your gym time, yeesh.

How about poor grammar? That always gets to me.

Also...people that say that they give over 100%. 100% is everything unless one is referring to gains in values/quantities...otherwise 100% is maximum.

None, really, aside from gym rules and people who get miffed about things too easily. We're not allowed to use chalk either, but if you sneak it in and clean up the staff isn't troublesome about it.

Otherwise, when I'm at the gym I generally ignore most of what's going on around me and just work out. I'd complain about poor spotters, but beggars can't be choosers, and people usually get it right if instructed properly =)

I agree with Cort. I stick away from everyone while Im in the gym. Heck, I even avoid workout partners that want to come with me, strictly because my mind can't focus as much when someones always trying to talk to me. And when Im in the gym, I want my mental focus to be working as hard as my body.
I just stick to myself and keep quiet and workout...and then leave. If someone asks for a spot, I'll give it to them. But other than that...I stick to myself. Thats 1 reason why I tend to do mostly just dumbbell work.
