Training and Cardio

Alright well, Im starting a whole new periodization overload program. But Im also going to be doing guerilla cardio, because Im attempting to cut.
Here's the the thing, I'd like to make some mass gains...not overall mass, simply muscle mass, and some strength gains while losing my body fat, dont we all.
Ive already been discussing my diet with several members on this board along with some others and I think Ive got that set and under control.

I simply want to ask, should I do these sets og guerilla cardio two or three times a week with my weight training?
Obviously I will try and wait AT LEAST 8 hours after my weights to do so, but do you think I should wait longer?
If I chose to do these on the weekends, can I do saturday and sunday in a row, or does it even matter?

My personal opinion?

HIIT should be intense, but not last very long at all. Consider doing yours even immediately after your weightlifting routines (just not on leg day). I see no particular reason why a 12-minute segment can't be effectively done.
3 minute warm-up
4-minutes of intense intervals
5-minutes of cool-down
If you feel like you need, suck down some liquid nutrition immediately following the resistance training. Additionally, make sure that your post-HIIT nutrition is adequate.
