Turf Toe

I banged my foot up against the floor in wrestling practice awhile back and hurt my toe. Our trainer told me that I probably had turf toe. The joint on my big toe still hurts and this has been about a month ago. Does anyone know how I can heal it over before soccer season starts in about a month?

I'll tell ya what turf toe is a bi*ch....I played soccer my whole life including 4 years in college and then a few years afterwards in rec leagues....I still have major pain in my left big toe from and injury about 6 years ago...I think the only way to heal is to just stay off it for a long time...but I am too active and never get a chance to relax or stay off it...it isn't an overbearing pain....but it is amazing how uncomfortable one little toe injury can make you feel...Good luck with your recovery...

I usually get the pain when I try and bend the toe upward....anyway, I would think if your trainer is certified that he would be able to help you with the rehab and the necessary steps needed to remedy the problem....the link that namistai left was excellent and should give you many options...
