two heads of the biceps

Correct me if I'm wrong but the long head is worked by most traditional bicep moves (i.e. preachers) more than the short head. What will put more stress on the short head, besides curls while sitting on an incline bench?

Hammer curls will. They also focus heavily on the brachordialis but utilize alot of the fibres of the 2nd, and lessor known, head.

It's amazing how many people are surprised to hear theres a second head in the "bi"cep...

Hammer curls are ok, but I don't know how much better they'll be then regular curls. Keep in mind that the elbow is a hinge joint and only capable of flexion and extension. Your possibilities are very limited.

I thought that was more brachordialis and the lower forearm flexor.

dunno - but halfway through the first set, my front delts and biceps started cramping. about three minutes after i finished the second set, the cramping extended down into forearms. didn't like it, but was told it happens if you've never done them before.

Reverse curls will hit the brachioradialis and brachialis more and take a bit of the emphasis away from the biceps which is why you can't lift as much weight that way. If you really want to maximally develop your biceps you're better off just doing a couple movements and switching up movements once in a while.
