Upcoming fitness test..Advice?

Advice would be appreciated! Next month I have an upcoming fitness test for a police force and there were a few things I had questions about:

- How soon should I stop training coming up to the day? I want my muscles to be in optimum shape and I don't want them to be sore from a workout

- What should I eat the night before/morning of the day of the test?

These are the areas on which I will be tested:

- pushups
- situps
- chinups
- max bench
- flexibility
- 100 yard sprint
- 1.5 mile run
- body fat %

Yeah, it's fun stuff. :

Starting the morning on the day before the test, start with some complex carbs for breakfast ... rice / pasta, and have a few eggs. Continue this in small portions throughout your day, only replacing the eggs for something else (another protein source, preferrably longer digesting) and not the complex carbs...have one last big serving of complex carbohydrates the night before with some healthy fats (a good serving of them too) ... take in some healthy fats 2 other times in the day too at smaller amounts. The morning of the day of the test, depending on when the test is in the day, have a big bowl of good cereal such as weetabix or such with some fruit, and protein ... carbs to protein should be around 3:1 respectively in this first meal... for the next steps I need to know when the test is in the day and in relation to when you get up and how much (exactly) time you have from breakfast to the test.

It's cool man... Lol.

All i really said was: Tune down the volume 1 - 2 weeks before the test, but keep training. If they are sore, DOMS does not affect performance anyways, so good luck.

Thanks for the tips. :

If all goes well with my written tests, I should be doing my physical around 1pm.
